Thank you to everyone that helped to make this day a great success!
We hope to see you again for Giving Back 2017. $50,100.00 Donated! |

For 2015 instead of focusing on one cause we are going to give our efforts to 3. Each cause is still veteran related but still different in their own way. We are very happy to announce Wounded Warrior Project again and just as happy to introduce you to The Travis Manion Foundation and 22 Needs A Face. We chose The Travis Manion Foundation because we wanted something semi local to our region to donate to and they also have great programs and events for Veterans. 22 Needs A Face is essential in bringing awareness and prevention to the fact that on average 22 veterans commit suicide every day. We are asking for your help and participation once again so that we can raise money for these very worthy causes.
1. Wounded Warrior Project
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.

2. Travis Manion Foundation
|
“If Not Me, Then Who…”Shortly after the death of 1st Lt. Travis Manion in Iraq on April 29, 2007, the fallen Marine’s mother, the late Janet Manion, founded the Travis Manion Foundation. The Travis Manion Foundation engages with veterans and families of the fallen in all stages of their personal journeys and offers them unique opportunities to empower them to achieve their goals. The Travis Manion Foundation believes that the best way to honor the fallen is by challenging the living. Through Mentorship and Advocacy, Expeditions, Character Does Matter, and the 9/11 Heroes Run, veterans and families of the fallen are leading in their communities. They are challenging themselves and others to continue the service to community and country exemplified by the nation’s fallen heroes and veterans.

22 needs a face is a non-profit that exist to combat against the number of service member suicides taking place within our nation. Every day 22 service members succumb to PTSD and seek to end the pain by taking their own lives. This must change. In order to do this we will launch a three-pronged attack to combat this silent enemy. First we aim to increase our solidarity as promoting fellowship, education to increase awareness, and legislation that helps protect our warriors from adverse actions for seeking help with their struggle. In the roughly 6 months from the start of our fundraiser up to June 27th approximately 4,092 Vets will have committed suicide. Think about that for a minute. 4,092.
